I wish to thank all participants who have created a lively weekend,
although there have been some defections probably due to the very bad
weather that was present in Europe at that time.
It is regrettable that many participants, with meagre results, have
not sent their log probably thinking to have scant possibilities;
many have lost a good occasion since there are empty categories in
which there was participation.
New for next year the separation in two contests, one for digital
modes only, in April, and one for classical modes only, in September.
We hope to see a numerous participation, both in activity and in
number of logs sent, for the survival of the contests.
There is a change in the rules regarding the unit of measure of
antenna length for bands 144 and 432 MHz, meters have left the place
to lambda (wavelength), this has been adopted so as not to penalize
some arrays for a handful of centimeters. An example: a commercial 5
lambda yagi is 10.42 meters, thus exceeding by a non significant
amount the 10 meter limit of the category and so being obliged to
enter in the 20 meter category.

Italian stations who partecipated were: I1AXE, I1ANP, I1NDP, IK1FJI,
I2RV, IZ2DJP, IK2FWR, IK2MMB, IK2DDR, IW2FZR, I3DLI, IK3COJ, IK3MAC,
I3EVK, I3DLI, IQ4DF, I5WBE, I6WJB.
